This poetry is about family, children, and life. Writing poetry for me is a true gift from God. I had never written poetry until about five days after my father died at age 81. It was a huge loss in my life as he had been my “leader” in life. He was a man of great compassion, wisdom, strength, and faith. I was feeling so alone after his funeral and I suddenly realized there were words in my mind that I needed to write. It was poetry. I believe God gave me that gift at that time to allow me to work through my feelings and to realize that although he was no longer present for me to visit with, all that he had given me remained as part of my life.

You will find my faith within all of my poetry. Sometimes very clearly and other times more subtly. I hope you find one that you particularly enjoy.
